Founded in 1913 by Mario Prada in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the house initially sold leather goods and travel items to high society. His granddaughter, Miuccia Prada, transformed it, starting in the late 1970s, into a laboratory of intellectual fashion: industrial nylon elevated to the status of a luxury material, the enameled triangle, and then Miu Miu, launched in 1993. Listed in Hong Kong, the Prada Group connects fashion, art (through the Fondazione Prada), and now beauty.
