Founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in Sonvilier, and taken over in 1963 by the German Scheufele family who still run it, Chopard cultivates a double excellence: watchmaking, from high-quality LUC calibers to the Mille Miglia, and jewelry, including the Happy Diamonds with their moving brilliant-cut diamonds invented in 1976. A historical partner of the Cannes Film Festival, for which it produces the Palme d'Or, the Geneva-based company has been a pioneer in using 100% ethical gold for all of its production, combining brilliance and responsibility.
