A Retrospective of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Perfumes in Paris

Maison Francis Kurkdjian at the Palais de Tokyo: 30 years of olfactory creation, in immersion

From October 29th, the Palais de Tokyo is dedicating a sensory retrospective to the Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

Beyond a simple showcase of perfumes, it is a story told in scents : thirty years of creations, intuitions and perfumer's gestures, staged like a contemporary work of art.

A place that makes sense

As an avant-garde space, the Palais de Tokyo offers the ideal setting: raw volumes, controlled lighting, interactive installations.

You see, you listen, you breathe : contemporary art meets niche perfumery.

Icons and olfactory signatures

  • Aqua Universalis — Clear, bright, almost textile: an idea of cleanliness and movement.

  • Baccarat Rouge 540 — A faceted, mineral and amber sillage that has become a global phenomenon.

  • Grand Soir — Amber, vanilla, resins: enveloping warmth and nocturnal elegance.

Each fragrance is presented as a chapter : raw materials, accords, inspirations and emotions.

A multisensory immersion

A retrospective of perfumes

Olfactory journeys, scenographically designed diffusers, artworks inspired by the notes, labels that decipher top/heart/base notes. We learn to read a perfume, to recognize a material, to feel the architecture of an accord.

A live program

Conferences, introductory workshops (materials, agreements), meetings with experts and artisans. An opportunity to understand the making of luxury : from responsible sourcing to the exacting standards of finishing.

Expertise & commitments

Founded in 2001, the Maison embodies : French craftsmanship quality ingredients, sustainable supply chains where available, and the transmission of skills. An aesthetic of sensitive sustainability, rather than mere effect.
