Founded in 1860 by Édouard Heuer in Saint-Imier, the manufacture dedicated itself to measuring sporting time: patenting the oscillating pinion in 1887, the Mikrograph accurate to one-hundredth of a second in 1916, the Carrera and Monaco chronographs, and the first automatic square watch worn by Steve McQueen in Le Mans. Becoming TAG Heuer in 1985 and a member of LVMH, the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based company continues its history in Formula 1, where it is the official timekeeper, connected watches, and iconic reissues of its racing heritage.
