To celebrate the Fête de la Gastronomie, Badoit sparkling water , acclaimed by chefs, and Thierry Marx, chef of the mythical and luxurious Parisian hotel Mandarin Oriental , transformed the RER C into a temporary and mobile gourmet restaurant for a 25-minute journey: the Badoit Express.
The ship welcomed its 400 passengers, offering them a tasting of three courses prepared by the Chef and served by 90 waiters. This experience was a first and offered all participants a unique and truly extraordinary moment.
The guests, initially surprised, quickly joined in the fun and were delighted to discover the army of waiters, all laden with trays overflowing with exquisite dishes.
Chef Thierry Marx chose to present them with a menu showcasing local produce , beginning with pressed veal with lentils and duck foie gras, accompanied by a mustard sauce. This was followed by a main course oftender lamb with Niçoise vegetables. To conclude this delightful dinner, the chef presented a floating island in a sugar sheet, enhanced with a vanilla glaze.
Thus, travelers were able to enjoy this gastronomic adventure during their journey between the Neuilly-Porte Maillot and Bibliothèque François Mitterrand. Thierry Marx himself went from carriage to carriage to meet his guests and give them a small gift. A truly memorable encounter…
